Catering Manager – Remote Site

Location: Tengiz, Kazakhstan

Schedule: Rotational 28/28 (28 days on site / 28 days off)

Operation Scale: High-volume production canteen

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee large-scale food service operations in a remote production site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of catering services, ensuring compliance with international standards, and delivering high-quality meals to a workforce of thousands daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Lead and supervise catering operations in a high-volume canteen environment.

• Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to ISO, HACCP, and other sanitary standards.

• Team Leadership: Organize, train, and motivate a large team of kitchen and service staff.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation to maintain consistent standards.

• Logistics & Procurement: Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships to guarantee timely delivery of raw materials.

• Budget Control: Develop and monitor catering budgets, optimize costs, and ensure efficient resource use.

• Health & Safety: Maintain workplace hygiene and safety standards across all catering operations.

• Client Relations: Handle feedback, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Innovation: Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement of catering processes.

Requirements

• Higher (postgraduate) or specialized secondary vocational education in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within catering
• Diploma or degree in hospitality or food & beverage management preferred

• Proven experience in managing large-scale catering operations (preferably remote or industrial sites).

• Strong knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, and food safety regulations.

• Strong communication skills in English and Russian (Kazakh is an advantage).
